I am glad we took the drive though, those car rides with KC are my favorite. It is when we have the most deep to the most silly conversations. Those are the times when I learn the most about him. He is so sweet!
We exchanged small gifts and ate ice cream at home. And without cheesecake, it was still a successful valentines...maybe not as tasty, but definitely a reminder of how much we are in love!
Hope you all have a great V-day!...we aren't quite finished...Big Lips* still has to visit ;)

*Big Lips was our fictional Valentine's Day character. She (in my mind, we never actually new the gender) would visit our house on the eve of Valentine's Day and leave a bag of candy and a note on the end of our bed. It is a tradition I loved and still love. Some years we would even get a sticker stuck to our forehead, then you would walk around with a red heart mark on your face all day. Good times!
PS - I made Guest Designer for a Sketch Blog! I'll let you know when my month for being the guest comes up! Pretty exciting stuff...
Oh my....I totally forgot about how Big Lips used to leave a sticker on our forehead. It seems like you always remember the best memories:)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the idea of Big Lips...that is too funny! Way to keep the tradition alive!
ReplyDeleteGlad you were able to get out and celebrate. We had the same problem...long waits at restaurants-thank goodness the one I really wanted was only 20 minute wait! yah!
You two are such little love birds-love it! Happy Valentine's Day!
Big Lips? I'm kind of scared that a genetically altered weird-o is going to be lurking at the end of your bed! Scary!
ReplyDeleteSorry about the restaurant situation. We seem to run into that problem most years too. And I can't stand it when I settle on an idea for dining...and then can't have it!
I hope you had a great day!!
(keep us updated on the sketch thing...that sounds interesting!!)
On Sunday, I delivered to the original big lips, a huge set of chocolate big lips, signed by all of the kids, thanking her for the memory. One of my favorite things about Big Lips is seeing 18-year-old Daniel come upstairs asking if Big Lips came this year! You should be around the house now...Big Lips gives money! Remember when I'd pay on teeth, as a loan from the tooth fairy, cause the tooth fairy would forget to pay?
