Sugar

[Trick Daddy]

I am so excited for Sunday.

Not because it's Easter. Because let's be honest. Easter blows.

No...

I am excited because my younger look-a-like sister, Hilary, is going to be competing on Food Network's Cupcake Wars.  You can all tune in Sunday April 8th @ 8pm/7c (6pm in Utah).

Just like I can't sing, I also can't cook/bake. Well, not like this chick can.

She really amazes me and I am so freakin' proud of her. She's done a lot to get here... High School State and National cooking and baking competitions (placing very well), College competitions (also did well), worked at multiple bakeries, volunteered for the Pro-Start program, appeared on TLC's Extreme Kid Parties, auditioned to be Darren Williams in-home chef (and turned it down, cause he was a douche), and has done countless weddings (including mine), parties, etc.

If you can get her to make you Chicken Marsala....[drool]...you'll be in heaven.

Being on Food Network has been a dream of hers and I love being able to see that dream come true.

I love you, Hilz! Couldn't be more proud of you!

Here is their audition video (my sister is the gorgeous brunette...holding the fan...rolling her eyes...trying to reign in her boss...and playing patty [cup]cake). Note: she's not really this cheesy in real life, but it makes me giggle watching her act this way...

Make sure to set your DVRs and/or watch. You won't regret it!

If I Were a Boy

[Beyonce]

...then maybe I'd like basketball...but probably not.

So, why do I do this every year?

By this...I mean, find myself again...filling out the dang bracket.

With the exception of football (Fins up!), I am more of an individual sport kind of gal. Love watching tennis (I have a crush on Nadal, mmm!). Swimming, yep (especially now)! Even have had season passes to Utah gymnastics (Red rocks! Went twice this year). And of course....Marathons are totally cool!

But basketball = snore-fest!

Yet somehow, March Madness sucks me in. Without fail. Every dang year.

So here's my bracket...

[And Emz, I apologize now. I am a Duke Fan. Always have been, always will be. Go blue devils!]

PS - Notice I don't have Duke winning. I've become superstitious. Year after year, I have them marked to win (in hope they will) and then they don't. So this year, let's pin them against their rivals, pretend like they'll lose. Then, BAM! Duke will skrew my bracket and take the win. It's worth a try, right?

Do you fill out a bracket? Who do you have going all the way?

[Time Out]

Recently while hanging with Randy and Krick, we watched a clip from Jimmy Fallon where he interviews  Mark-Paul Gosselaar  Zach Morris. Here's the clip:

After laughing histerically, I made the comment that I wanted to watch Saved by the Bell again. So for Christmas Krick gave me a set of DVDs from the show Saved by the Bell.

Today, while being house bound with a cold I cracked open the set of DVDs.

Oh. Man.

It seems like I had flashbacks to sitting at the kitchen counter after school watching these shows on a 10" black and white screen we had on the counter. Hilary and I would make a package of top ramen and dip saltines into the soup while watching Zach, Kelly, Screech, Slater, Jesse, and Lisa.

One of my favorite episodes from back in the days came onto today. You know the one where Mr. Belvedere talks the guys into standing up to their women because they were "MEN!". And then the guys end up trying to make it up to the girls by re-doing their moments of mistake. And Screech dresses as Kelly.

Anyway, such an awesomely fun show. And the perfect way to spend a sick day.
